Rich, buttery, delicious.
Chardonnay has been part of the Rombauer family's portfolio since the beginning, it was the first variety they crushed at their new winery in 82, and is certainly what they're most known for. When they built their winery they did so as a custom crush to recoup the cost of the build and in those early days were home to some of Napa Valley's most iconic wines, including: Duckhorn, Spottswoode, Etude and Dominus.
Golden hued and delivering ripe yellow apples, toasted pastries, honey, acacia and browned butter aromas it then rolls into a creamy yet fresh palate. Rich and buttery like the nose it shows generous golden fruits, creamed butter and grilled lemons with baking spice flavours trailing on the finish. Supple and balanced, woven and delicious.
